Description:
Pioneering company within consumer lending are looking to recruit an entrepreneurial, focused, informal but disciplined, professional, performance driven, people centered BI Developer.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide core solutions using data warehousing methodologies
• Support the team to ensure that all IT related matters are managed. The jobholder will need to work closely with all areas within the business with regards to IT/database/BI queries and resolution.
• Be able to work as a team player within the IT & BI team and also the extended Analytics department.
• Be very organized and thorough in carrying out tasks
• Understand the importance of QA and be able to carry out testing and QA to ensure that the data loaded is correct
• Understand the value of change management and enforce this within the team
• Keep the SQL database environment tidy and avoid any duplication of data and creation of copies of data
• Ensure that all design and build processes are completely documented and unit tested whilst working within the timelines agreed with the project manager.
• Take ownership of data file production tasks for all campaigns and develop an automated reporting solution to provide MI on results of the campaigns
Technical Skills:
• The datawarehouse is built on MS SQL Server 2005 so candidates must be proficient in SQL programming and administration.
• Any experience in DBA work would be advantageous
• Ability to deliver a project from requirements to delivery stage whilst ensuring agreed timelines are achieved
• Experience in scripting and ability to automate regular jobs
• Knowledge of MS Excel is desirable, especially in creating pivot tables to create reports and data for the business
• Ability to provide options for quick wins and longer term advance solutions and quantify the benefits
